First he attacked Venezuela with air strikes and abducted its president — subsequently referring to himself as the country's 'Acting President' on social media. Now, he has made it clear he wants to expand his domain to include Greenland, a self-governing Arctic nation that is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. International leaders have tried to calm the situation, but Trump has remained adamant that he plans to make Greenland part of the U.S. "whether they like it or not," saying that it would happen "either the nice way or the more difficult way." He's even suggested he might use the U.S. military to forcefully take over the massive icy island. Yesterday, leaders from the governments of the U.S., Greenland, and Denmark met in Washington, D.C. to see if they could find a way out of this nightmare. But the talks apparently ended in a stalemate.  As the Prime Minister for Greenland, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, said: "We are now facing a geopolitical crisis. If we have to choose between the US and Denmark here and now, we choose Denmark, NATO and the EU."   If that's the case, then the European Union should genuinely offer Greenland the option to become a member state in its community. Currently, Denmark is a member of the EU, but Greenland is not. As Trump increasingly targets Greenland, the EU has a moral obligation to allow Greenland the option to join its ranks as a proper alternative to U.S. military conquest. It is up to Greenlanders to decide what they want to do with their country and their land. But one option before them should be the possibility of joining the European Union. Axle the dog whimpered while a man beat him to death with a plank

The poor dog, named Axle, was an adorable American Bully living in a remote part of the country. The video shows a man mercilessly beating Axle with a wooden plank. The images and footage of the incident show Axle whimpering, trying desperately to escape. But the man chased the dog relentlessly, insisting on making Axle suffer. Axle could not recover from the abuse, and tragically died not long after the video was taken. The video footage has sparked a rightful wave of anger across the country, with thousands of Filipinos expressing their devastation over the loss of Axle. ICE killed an innocent Minneapolis woman in front of her neighbors

Renee was not a target. She was a neighbor observing as ICE conducted yet another raid — part of a surge that has seen roughly 1,400 people taken from the city in just weeks.   Video footage shows Renee sitting in her car as agents ordered her to move. She says to one officer, "I'm not mad at you," and then puts the car in reverse to safely drive away from him. As she tried to leave, an agent fired multiple shots into her vehicle from close range.   Neighbors can be heard screaming. Another video shows a medical professional pleading to attend to Renee, but he was blocked from helping her. An ambulance that eventually arrived on the scene was delayed by ICE vehicles.   Local leaders, including Mayor Jacob Frey, are demanding accountability — yet federal officials are already attempting to excuse the shooting as "self-defense," spinning lies about Renee, despite the footage that contradicts those claims.   This killing must be investigated as a homicide, and the agents who are responsible for Renee's death must be brought to justice.   Sign the petition to demand the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension hold the officers who killed Renee Nicole Good fully accountable. Kittens were thrown from a bridge into the river

One kitten was saved only because a bystander intervened in time. The other two fell into the water and were later found in serious condition, requiring emergency veterinary care.   Sign now to demand this man receives a lifetime ban on animal ownership to ensure no other animals are ever put in danger like this again.   Witnesses reported hearing the man say, "let them die, I want them to die," as the kittens were thrown from the bridge. This was not an accident. It was a deliberate act of extreme cruelty carried out in public, in full view of passersby. When someone demonstrates such a profound disregard for life, the priority must be prevention. A lifetime ban on owning or caring for animals is the only way to ensure this cruelty is never repeated.
