A 3-year-old died in a hot car... while in Alabama state custody

We demand a full investigation into how this was allowed to happen! A Three-Year-Old Boy Died in a Hot Car While in State Custody. We Must Demand a Full Investigation!      Sign Now      Annisa,   A 3-year-old boy has tragically died after being left in a car by himself for 5 hours. That day in Alabama, the heat index was over 100 degrees. The toddler was not under the care of his family at the time; the boy was in foster care and therefore was in state custody.  A contractor for the state was supposed to pick the child up from a visit with his father at 11:30 in the morning and take him to daycare. But the boy never made it to daycare, and his father will never see him again. According to reports, the boy was left in a hot car with the windows up from 12:30pm to 5:30pm, a blazing hot time of day. At 5:30pm, the daycare called the woman to ask about the whereabouts of the child. He was still in her car…unresponsive. Police were called, but when they got there it was too late — the 3-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The Department of Human Resources in Alabama is meant to "oversee child protection." What happened was the exact opposite. The state owes this boy's family, and the entire world, answers. We demand a thorough investigation into how this happened on the state's watch. Like Cecil, another lion was just killed in Zimbabwe

Blondie was the leader of his pride. Blondie the Lion Was Gunned Down by a Wealthy Hunter. It's Time Zimbabwe Finally End Trophy Hunting.      Sign Now      Annisa,   Nearly a decade after the heartbreaking killing of Cecil the Lion, it's happened again. Blondie — a beloved lion being tracked by Oxford researchers — was lured out of protected territory and shot dead by a trophy hunter. Just like Cecil. Zimbabwe allows up to 100 lions to be hunted every year, most often by foreign tourists willing to pay thousands for the thrill of killing. His death is another chilling reminder that no lion is safe under the current system.   Sign the petition to demand Zimbabwe finally bans all trophy hunting.   Just like Cecil, Blondie was a national treasure. He was a father, a leader, a symbol of Zimbabwe's wild beauty. But he was turned into a target by a wealthy foreign hunter, baited out of safety and into a trap. These lions aren't being killed for conservation — they're being killed for ego. For photos. For profit. Blondie's pride has now been left leaderless, and his cubs' lives are in serious jeopardy. All so someone could mount a head on their wall. Tell Zimbabwe authorities: trophy hunting isn't conservation. It's blood money. Ban it now. Thank you, Jess Care2 Petitions Team P.S. The UN must act before more families are poisoned by PFAS

Demand a global ban on PFAS before more lives are ruined. These Chemicals Poisoned Entire Towns in Europe. The UN Must Ban Toxic 'Forever Chemicals' Now!      Sign Now      Annisa,   In recent years, an alarming trend has been popping up across Europe — alarming levels of toxic chemicals have been found in the water that people drink, bathe in, and give to their children. The chemicals are PFAS — also known as 'forever chemicals' because they never break down. Once they're in your body, they stay there…forever.   In one town in Sweden, even young children have dangerous levels of PFAS in their blood. Another town in France has had to ban tap water altogether.   PFAS are linked to cancer, infertility, immune dysfunction, and more. And while there is an effort to phase out the PFAS-riddled firefighting foam at the center of the crises in France and Sweden, these chemicals are everywhere. From non-stick pans to waterproof jackets to food wrappers and electronics. They're also polluting ecosystems and having tragic effects on wildlife across the globe.   That's why we're demanding that the United Nations add PFAS to the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), which is the global treaty that regulates and even bans dangerous chemicals.   Sign to help stop this global contamination crisis before more people and animals are harmed! Thank you, Sophie Care2 Petitions Team P.S. Terrifying levels of PFAS have been found in the drinking water of European towns, sounding the alarm on these toxic 'forever chemicals.' Georgia the police dog died locked inside a hot patrol car

Poor Georgia should be alive right now. This Cop Left a Police Dog in a Sweltering Car to Die. Demand Justice for Georgia the Bloodhound!      Sign Now      Annisa,   It was a blisteringly hot day in Trenton, Georgia. The heat index was in the 100s, and the only way to stay safe and comfortable was to lay low in cool or air conditioned places. But a sweet bloodhound named Georgia was not able to stay safe. That's because she was left locked in a hot car that day — and she was in there so long, she tragically died. Georgia was a police dog, and she was left to die inside a hot patrol car by the officer meant to be caring for her.   The poor pup was inside the car for what the sheriff's office called "an unacceptable amount of time." During that extended period, the patrol car's air conditioning broke and the heat alarm failed to activate. Poor Georgia was all alone as she slowly roasted to death. Thankfully, the sheriff's office took immediate action and fired this careless, heartless officer. But now we must ensure that prosecutors bring charges of animal cruelty against this person! Sign the petition demanding the Dade County District Attorney's Office seek justice for Georgia by bringing charges against this negligent cop! Thank you, Sophie Care2 Petitions Team P.S. Georgia the police dog was left in a hot patrol car for so long, she sadly passed away. Sign for justice.      Sign Now
