A man standing nearby told officials that he owned both dogs, but that they had probably done this to themselves. He claimed that the animals had somehow accidentally tangled themselves up. Yet that was fairly obviously not true. The animals were covered in multiple types of restraints. Detectives noted that the two pets "were found suspended by their necks from a tree, bound with various ropes and chains" and further specified that this was "with coaxial cable, paracord, tie-down straps, and chains." On top of that, an investigation revealed that just a few weeks earlier, the man had tried to have these same pets euthanized. Authorities have since arrested the man and charged him with animal cruelty. We must demand justice for these poor, brutally killed dogs!
