They have been warned for decades that these emission levels are unsustainable and deadly. And still, they expand oil and gas production while communities drown, burn, and bake in record heat. This is not an accident. It is a choice. And it is costing lives. The world already agreed under the Paris climate deal that we must cut emissions fast. But emissions are still rising. Meanwhile, island nations are disappearing as sea levels rise, farmers are losing crops, and children are breathing toxic air. It is beyond unfair. The people causing the crisis are not the ones paying the price.
