Someone abused more than 325 dogs at this property

So it is nearly impossible for many people to comprehend the horror taking place in Nevada, where authorities seized upwards of 325 dogs from a property because of dangerous conditions. Several of the dogs were fighting and attacking one another because there was so little food and water. Others had abscesses and gruesome infections — while some were even missing legs. The scene devastated local officials and animal rights activists, who described the animals as fighting "literally life or death to eat."   Animal abuse does of course occur throughout the United States, but the level of cruelty found at the Nevada residence is hard to imagine.The Sheriff's Office has been steadily removing literally hundreds of dogs from two properties because of the terrifying, unlivable conditions. Officials have charged the couple involved with felony animal abuse and neglect. But it is still unclear just how they got their hands on so many animals and were allowed to harm them for so long. We must ensure that it can never happen again! These people should simply never be allowed to own animals in the future. Catch the criminals who killed endangered tortoises in the Galápagos Islands

Poachers killed four rare giant tortoises in the Galápagos Islands. Demand Justice for Endangered Galápagos Tortoises, Butchered for Their Meat Sign Now      Annisa,   The Galápagos Islands in Ecuador are home to upwards of 2,000 unique species that only live there — they are so rare and special, they actually can't be found anywhere else. This includes many species of giant tortoises, herbivorous reptiles that can weigh around 600 pounds and live up to 120 years. These animals are actually the namesake for all the islands, because Galápagos means "tortoise" in Spanish! Fourteen of the giant Galápagos tortoises species are in trouble, with authorities listing them as vulnerable, endangered, critically endangered — and even extinct. And just recently, Ecuadorian officials discovered the carcasses of four endangered giant tortoises — slaughtered as part of the illegal wildlife meat trade.   Two hundred years ago, researchers estimate that approximately 200,000 Galápagos giant tortoises roamed their islands, enjoying the beauty of the nature and abundance around them. Due to poaching and other human interference, their populations have plummeted. Killing these important creatures has been illegal for 89 years, since 1933. Sadly, that hasn't stopped people from hunting and butchering these beloved animals for their meat. The illegal wildlife meat trade is running rampant, and few animals are safe from its insidious effects. One year ago, authorities also discovered the decaying corpses of 15 other giant tortoises, also senselessly murdered for their meat. If these criminals get away with butchering endangered tortoises, other perpetrators are sure to follow suit. Shein must remove all lead toxins from children's clothes

Toddlers are wearing lead-contaminated jackets, risking brain damage. The company is one of the highest emitters of greenhouse gasses in the entire industry — which is frankly unsurprising, given how many articles of clothing they produce in just one single day. Now we're learning that Shein is hurting our health in other ways, too. Researchers have just discovered that some of Shein's clothing may actually contain the equivalent of "hazardous waste." We're talking about clothing items we wear on our bodies, directly against our skin. One article of clothing that researchers tested had almost 20 times the amount of lead that is safe for children to be exposed to. And the item in question was a jacket specifically designed for toddlers.   It appears this problem may be widespread within the company. A purse from Shein also contained more than five times the safe level of lead. This substance is so dangerous that lead in homes and buildings often constitutes a "public health crisis." Lead poisoning can cause a wide range of serious — and sometimes permanent — medical conditions, from anemia and nausea to kidney and brain damage. On top of that, Shein is likely breaking the law. Selling children's clothing that contains lead is illegal both in multiple U.S. states with strict health regulations, as well as federally under U.S. law. There is no excuse for Shein to be contaminating its customers and exposing them to brain-damaging toxins. Shein must immediately test its clothing and remove all lead from any products it sells!
