Alan Cox to NVIDIA: You Can't Use DMA-BUF
DMA-BUF is a recent kernel feature that allows multiple GPUs to quickly copy data into each other's framebuffers. A use case would be the NVIDIA Optimus that pairs a fast GPU with an Intel integrated GPU, where the NVIDIA GPU writes into the Intel framebuffer when it is active. But, NVIDIA won't be able to use this infrastructure because it's GPL.

In a bizarre twist in the tragic story of a British Columbia teen who took her own life, hacktivist group Anonymous has named a man it says was the girl's primary tormentor. This raises a whole nest of issues surrounding the presumption of innocence and vigilantism.

ACLU Creates Map of U.S. 'Constitution-Free Zone'
Four years ago, the ACLU publicized an expansion of authority claimed by the Border Patrol to stop and search individuals up to 100 miles from any U.S. border. The ACLU also created a map of what they call the U.S. Constitution-Free Zone, which includes most of the nation's largest metropolitan areas.
