 Two years after the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," all military spouses and partners will finally be able to receive military identification cards as dependents.  Many Care2 members have worked to combat climate change, but Congress doesn't seem to share our urgency. In his State of the Union address, President Obama declared that he would use executive power to tackle US carbon pollution.  Last May, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed a bill into law last May that effectively prevented thousands of low-income Medicaid recipients in Arizona from choosing Planned Parenthood as a health and family planning provider.  Education officials, State Attorney General Margaret Coakley, and others are making a move to regulate the notorious Judge Rotenberg Center in Massachusetts, reacting to public outcry (including a petition on Care2) over the school's controversial use of shock "treatment" on disabled students.  Shell has announced that it will not conduct offshore drilling operations in the Alaska Arctic this year.
